My horses taught me that the reason we love horses, the reason that horses have such an impact on us, is due to their ability to shift us from our conscious mind to our subconscious mind. (Read my article here to understand the science and the experience behind it.)

They also are the ones who gave me the idea for this regular event that I am calling Soul Sundays with Horses.

On the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month, rain or shine, even on holidays, in everything but the coldest temperatures, I will be hosting Soul Sundays with Horses here in Leander, TX (within driving distance of Cedar Park, Georgetown, Jonestown, Liberty Hill, Austin, and Round Rock). (Address given upon registration.) (April 2023 ONLY will be the 2nd and 4th Sundays.)

This event will include:

  • 3 Hours of time on site with my horses. Where the horses are that day may vary. I honor the needs and desires of the horses first and foremost. There may be one that doesn't want to participate that day (most likely Ankh) and they will have the option to “opt out.” But most likely, they will all be out grazing somewhere in the pasture. They may choose to interact with you, or they may stay at a distance. And you have that option as well. I will be supervising the horses at all times for safety, but will interact at a minimum to protect your time with them.
  • Quiet time for you to journal, take photos of the horses (for non-commercial purposes primarily, if you are a professional please reach out to me about options), paint or draw, or simply walk around the property enjoying the horses, wildflowers (if present), and wildlife. I suggest starting the day with a question you'd like an answer to. You can even share it with me if you'd like for accountability and manifestation purposes. Or you can write it in your journal. Or just in your heart. Then let the magic of the horses drop you out of your busy “mind” and into your heart and soul. And wait for the answer.
  • Upon request, I can do a guided group exercise for the above process of “Horses Answer Questions.”
  • A lightweight folding chair if you'd like to take it with you to journal, draw, or just be in the moment. I also have some chairs placed under larger trees with cover in strategic places.
  • A basket to leave your cell phone so you will be undisturbed during your Soul Sunday. (Not required but strongly encouraged.)

What You Need to Know:

  • Close-toed shoes are REQUIRED. And I don't recommend anything you aren't comfortable with getting dusty and dirty. (Same goes with clothes.)
  • Blue jeans (or long denim skirts) are HIGHLY recommended. In various times of the year, the wildflowers, grasses, etc. can be very tall, and there are stickers, burrs, etc. during various seasons of the year as well. Anything but denim can mean scratched legs, stickers, bug bites, etc.
  • The cost is currently $25 per adult. This is an adults-only event. I “might” consider some teens 16+ but please contact me to discuss.
  • There will be other adults there, unless you'd like to book it privately. (Please contact me to discuss.) You will need to be respectful of everyone's desires to enjoy the horses, both from a distance as well as up close and interactive. The maximum number of attendees is 8 adults. But since every Sunday is different, there may or may not be that amount at every event.
  • You must have a certain level of comfort with horses. This is not the event for you if you are deathly afraid of them. You can book with me privately if you'd like if you have a significant fear of them but would like to have a positive experience with them one-on-one. My colt, because he is young, will sometimes nip. (This is how they learn and sometimes how they communicate.) Being comfortable with knowing how to handle this or being willing to listen to my instructions about it, and following through, is an example of the comfort level needed.
  • There is NO PUBLIC RESTROOM on the property. If you have to go while you are there, I will have a “camp” toilet available or a horse stall. 🙂
  • I do have running water for washing hands.
  • You are free to bring water bottles or other drinks (no alcohol) and sunscreen if needed.
  • Please don't bring snacks, treats, carrots, sugar, apples, etc. for the horses!!! One of my horses needs a low sugar diet (much to his chagrin) and if everyone brought treats he would get overweight and unhealthy quickly.
  • Everyone will be required to sign a Release of Liability form before entering the property the first time.
